Becky Lynch boosts “WWE NXT” viewership and TV ratings to new heights

Record-breaking viewership

According to recent data, Tuesday night’s episode of “WWE NXT” saw a significant increase in viewership, reaching heights not seen in years. The episode drew an average of 850,000 viewers, marking a 26% increase from the previous week. This is the highest viewership the show has achieved since October 28, 2020. Notably, 335,000 viewers belonged to the highly sought-after 18-to-49 demographic, resulting in a 0.26 P18-49 rating. This rating represents a staggering 40% increase from the previous week and the highest rating for “NXT” since September 1, 2020.

Becky Lynch’s victory

During Tuesday night’s main event, Becky Lynch successfully defeated Tiffany Stratton for the “NXT” Women’s Championship. Analysis of quarter-hour data indicates that the match attracted over 200,000 additional viewers, with viewership peaking at 1.06 million during the show’s eight-minute overrun after 10 PM ET.

Online popularity

Furthermore, Lynch’s victory clip on WWE’s YouTube channel garnered nearly 400,000 views within 24 hours, surpassing all other clips from the show by a significant margin.

Competition with “AEW Dynamite”

“NXT” is now poised to challenge “AEW Dynamite” for the title of the most-watched show in the same week. Last Wednesday’s “Dynamite” recorded an average of 887,000 viewers, with 409,000 falling within the P18-49 demographic.

Influx of talent

“NXT” has been benefitting from the recent addition of talent from WWE’s main roster, such as members of The Judgment Day. Notably, Dominik Mysterio, who won the “NXT” North American Championship several weeks ago, is now a regular fixture on the show.
