Lors du dernier Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez a rapporté que la WWE voulait booker Braun Strowman vs. The Big Show à WWE Fastlane. Braun Strowman remporterait le match pour ensuite affronter The Undertaker à WrestleMania.

John Cena devait au départ affronter The Undertaker à WrestleMania mais ces plans ont été annulés suite à la blessure de John Cena.
